New Feature¶
Maintain Bulk Kit Contents¶
There is now a new Bulk Export/Import Kit Contents function available in Xchecker which has been designed to make it easier and more efficient for you to maintain your Kit Contents data.
Go to: Maintain Data>Bulk Data Export>Kit Contents
- Select your Product Group and Product Type or export the full set of data to maintain. - You will then receive an email notification when the export is ready.
Adding a Kit Content Part Number¶
To add new Kit Contents, you need to: -Add a new row into the spreadsheet and fill in all the required columns (indicated in row 1) or copy and paste another row from the spreadsheet and amend the necessary columns. -All parts entered must already exist within Xchecker.
Useful Hint: We recommend that you save your document separately from the original, before you import back into Xchecker Via in Maintain Data>Bulk Data Import>Kit Contents.¶
- You will need to select your file and when you are ready click Import.
- You will receive the following message advising you of an email you will receive.
- You can then go into the Manage Bulk Data Import area as you would with the other Import procedures to ensure your import is problem free and can be completed.

The Part prior to import with its Kit information is at the bottom, please also note the Product Group involved in the Bulk Export will be locked for editing until the Bulk Import has been completed.
-After importing the Bulk Kit Contents file, the part now has 3 kit content part numbers showing
Deleting a Kit Content Part Number¶
To Delete Kit Contents parts: - Simply insert a 'Y' in the 'List Delete' column. After importing a component part number marked for delete, you will see in the example below, the Main Kit part now has only 2 part numbers associated in kit contents and 14-452030-00 has been removed as we requested in our file.
